I am now twenty three
And my biggest fear:
That time will flee,
Make my dreams disappear.

All I do is write,
On the outside the fright
Of people in spite,
Putting on a big fight.

The times of carelessness
And playful fearlessness
Made way for distress,
People becoming hopeless.

In the wake of war,
How can one come far?
Sitting in an empty bar
While common sense drifts afar.

Struggling to stay relevant
And being up to date.
Every detail is so important
And yet it is insignificant.

Trying to stay fit,
While others throw a fit.
Staying on top of the list.
Who, from this, will benefit?

How to find the missing piece?
Sacrificing world peace.
Watching as the burnt leaf
Falls into the abyss.
