When I was a child, I looked at the moon.
I needed a light to guide me through the night,
My days I spent in gloom,
Not capable to notice the sunlight.

Each day I waited for the dark,
Hoping it woud be illuminated by moonshine.
Purposely getting lost in a park,
Praying for lord knows what sign.

Now you have become my moon,
Lost I get in your eyes.
I pray to see you soon,
To be always there at moonrise.
