What is there lurking in darkness?
The air heavy as water of Loch Ness,
The landscape eerily flawless,
My steps slow and cautious.

As tough a hand enclosed my heart,
It feels like it’s bursting into parts.
My throat twists into a knot,
I want to shed tears for all souls lost.

I call out to them, into the wind.
An answer, I’ll never find.
My hands, they have declined,
But they never leave my mind.

I can feel them behind me,
Under me in the sea,
Hear them in the hum of a bee,
In the rustling of a tree.

I tell them to leave,
Their absence causes grieve,
As they return I feel relieve.
What will you belief?
